Asha Kohli, MD began her medical studies
at Lady Hardinge Medical School in Delhi,
India. She continued her residency at the Lady Hardinge Hospital, Holy Family
Hospital and was the resident doctor at the Seghal Nursing Home in New Delhi.
In 1982, Dr. Kohli started her family medicine residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, which she completed in 1985.
After completing her residency, Dr. Kohli continued practicing medicine as the
family physician at H.A.P. in Detroit, MI, then moved on to the Grace Family Practice Center as the clinical instructor and then assistant residency director at the family residence program. Dr. Kohli then made the move to Texas where she worked as the lead physician for Sugar Land University Medical Group and then in family practice at OneCare Health Industries. In 1999, Dr. Kohli started a solo practice where patients receive a full range of medical services including physical exams for all age groups, screenings and weight loss consultations.
Dr. Kohli is board certified from the American Board of Family Medicine. She is also a member of the AAFP and Harris County Medical Society. Among the numerous committee appointments Dr. Kohli has held are The Advisory Board
Committee and Quality Assurance Committee Chairperson at Grace Hospital, and the Lab Director at Sugar Land Family Physicians.
Dr. Kohli is married with two children and lives in the Sugar Land area. She enjoys traveling, reading and gardening.
